"Thursdays are our campaign days. We update prices on around 200 products every week.

The old system: We'd enter the new prices from the central computer, then email an Excel file to each store. The store manager would open the Excel, walk to the computer, and print labels one by one.

Printing 200 labels at one store took 2 to 3 hours. We have 12 stores — that's 30 hours of man-hours every week. And sometimes a wrong price got printed, and customers would complain at the register.

The campaign was supposed to start Friday morning, but at some stores the labels weren't finished until Friday noon. That was a serious problem."
