The creator of ZPL. 99% of Zebra models use ZPL and ZPL II as their native language. The most widely available brand in Turkey.
Epson normally uses ESC/Label or ESC/POS, but ZPL II support is available on newer color and industrial label printers.
Note: Epson's standard thermal receipt printers (TM series) generally use ESC/POS, which is not suitable for ZPL.
Toshiba uses its own language called TPCL but can process ZPL codes through "Z-Mode".
Argox printers support PPLA (Datamax), PPLB (Eltron), and PPLZ (Zebra) languages. PPLZ must be selected at printer startup or in the firmware.
TSC uses firmware called "TSPL-EZ" which automatically recognizes ZPL and EPL codes plug-and-play. ZPL compatibility is very high.
This brand, which spun off from Samsung, is quite successful with ZPL support (under the name BPL-Z).
Xprinter generally uses TSPL (TSC language), but most models also have ZPL emulation. Very popular in Turkey for e-commerce shipping labels.
Emulates Zebra with the GZPL format. Very strong in the Turkish market.
These brands have merged. New Honeywell models perform very well in ZPL simulation.
Devices sold under CMT or various local brand names in Turkey are generally OEM products of Chinese origin (HPRT, Xprinter, etc.).
Note: These devices' technical documentation usually specifies TSPL (TSC) language. The TSPL architecture generally supports most ZPL commands, but may have issues with complex ZPL macros or custom fonts.
