Why this is hard today
Toshiba TEC ships BarTender-based and Windows-only utilities. On a Mac there is officially nothing, so the usual workaround is a Windows VM just to send a label to a printer sitting on the same desk.
What LabelInn does instead
Toshiba printers speak TPCL (Toshiba Printer Command Language). LabelInn generates TPCL on the Mac and sends it over USB or network. Because the app is the driver, label size, sensor mode and print speed are commands the app controls, not settings a generic driver has to translate.
TPCL is not ZPL
A common failure is software that assumes every thermal printer speaks ZPL. A Toshiba receiving ZPL bytes prints nothing at all — no error, just silence. LabelInn detects Toshiba units and switches to TPCL automatically.
